Non-polarizing electrodes

This type of electrode is used in geoelectrical applications for the acquisition of induced polarization data, spontaneous potential measurements, or measurements performed in urban environments near buildings.

The unique manufacturing technology eliminates potentials due to the electrochemical action between the electrode and the ground and allows for low electrode/ground contact resistance.

Main features:

• Electrode/ground contact resistance: from 0.3 kOhms to a few kOhms, depending on the type of soil.

• Dimensions: diameter 90 mm, height 80 mm.

• Weight: approximately 1 kg.

A unique feature of these electrodes (manufactured by Wolf Ltd) is that they can be used simply by placing them on the ground. This feature makes them particularly suitable for use in three-dimensional electrical tomography measurements performed in urban environments, inside or outside buildings or similar structures (near paving or high-quality flooring).
