EM4Soil is a software application dedicated to the inversion of electromagnetic data for measurements acquired with multi-sensor or multi-frequency EM instruments such as DUALEM, Geonics electromagnetometers (EM31, EM38, EM34, etc.), GEM, and GSSI Profiler.
The software uses a 1D laterally constrained inversion algorithm for the construction of Quasi-2D models and 1D spatially constrained models for Quasi-3D modeling.
EM4Soil is produced by EMTOMO, a company specializing in electromagnetic survey methodologies, for which Geostudi Astier is the exclusive distributor for Europe.
Technical Specifications
Supported Platforms
Microsoft® Windows XP, 7, 8, 10.
Features
• Data preprocessing (filtering, decimation, data quality control, sensor position correction, latitude/longitude conversion to UTM).
• Inversion using linear and nonlinear algorithms (1D inversion for electromagnetic surveys, 1D laterally constrained inversion for Quasi-2D models from profiles, 1D spatially constrained inversion for Quasi-3D models from parallel profiles).
• Display of measurements on a map and extraction of sections.
• Display of the inverted model.
• Export of xyz models for visualization with 3D graphics tools and geostatistical analysis.
