A system for dragging geophones along the ground surface.
Each geophone is housed in a lead-sealed plate to optimize coupling with the ground. Standard geophones are used; simply remove the tip and screw the sensor onto the housing. Thanks to the flexible mounting options, both vertically and horizontally polarized geophones can be used.
The plates are secured together with a sturdy strap, which can be equipped with a strap at the end for towing by car. Each plate is equipped with Teflon feet to facilitate sliding.
Typically for 24-geophone systems, with 1m or 2m spacing, but a customized configuration is possible.
The conveyor is equipped with special pockets to contain and protect the seismic cable, connected to the various geophones, during dragging.
