VPEG-1600 Electromagnetic Seismic Vibrator

DESCRIPTION:

• 12VDC Operation

• App-Based Control

• Frequency Range: 8-800 Hz

• Multiple Deployment Methods

• Made in USA

The new seismic vibration source (VPEG-1600) is a 12 VDC battery-powered electromagnetic seismic vibrator. The VPEG-1600 power source is designed for a variety of applications in geology, geophysics, civil engineering, and more. The VPEG system uses electrical transducers to generate sweeps with frequencies from 8 Hz to 800 Hz. The VPEG-1600 delivers 1,600 watts of power, driving the transducers to produce up to 16,000 Joules of kinetic energy.

This source is intended to be marketed as a portable, battery-powered electromagnetic vibrator, offering the geophysics community access to a seismic vibratory source without the need for expensive truck-mounted vibrators.

The VPEG-1600 is designed for portability: it can be used at a remote location, a fixed location for a quality control application, on a hitch on an existing truck or ATV, or using the forks on a tractor or skid steer.
