Broadband Induction Coil Magnetometer
The MFS-06e broadband induction coil magnetometer was developed to measure variations in the Earth’s magnetic field, specifically for magnetotellurics (MT) and controlled-source audio magnetotellurics (CSAMT) applications. It covers a wide frequency range from 0.0001 Hz to 10 kHz. Despite its wide bandwidth, the MFS-06e features excellent low-noise characteristics, extremely low thermal drift of the input offset voltage and current, and a highly stable transfer function over time and temperature. The MFS-06e is the result of Metronix’s many years of experience in the design, manufacturing, and application of induction coil magnetometers.
Metronix pays particular attention to the initial calibration of all MFS-06e magnetometers as part of its ISO 9001-certified manufacturing process. Testing has demonstrated excellent long-term stability of the transfer function. The built-in calibration function simplifies online calibration or testing of the magnetometer’s transfer function. Simply inject a differential test signal into the sensor’s CAL input.
Like all e-series sensors, the MFS-06e features a built-in calibration chip and can be automatically detected by the ADU-10e/ADU-11e.
