The GEM GSM-19 family of Overhauser magnetometers and gradiometers offer much faster sampling and higher measurement accuracy than proton magnetometers, achieving precision levels approaching those of cesium magnetometers, but at a significantly lower cost. The sensitivity of these instruments is in the order of 0.022nT@1Hz. The system is also available with a higher accuracy of 0.015nT@1Hz in the GEM GSM-19PRO version.
GEM GSM-19 magnetometers and gradiometers are successfully used in mining, environmental, UXO, and archaeological surveys (see here for some examples of archaeological applications). This instrument is also particularly suitable as a base station for aerial measurements.
The GSM-19 can also be equipped with a VLF receiver (download the datasheet by clicking HERE).
The system is also available in a 4-sensor gradiometer mode (GSM-19 GW4), which can be configured with 3D or planar arrays (download the datasheet).
