Switch-free coil
The MFS-12 is a newly developed, switch-free, ultra-wideband magnetometer used for terrestrial exploration. It is the successor to Metronix’s popular MFS-06e coil magnetometer. The MFS-12e covers the frequency range from 0.0001 Hz to 20 kHz without switching. Compared to the MFS-06e, it offers lower power consumption and is lighter.
AMT and MT can be measured simultaneously, thus taking a single measurement. This is ideal for mineral exploration, where eight hours of recording are required for each site in order to reach two sites per day.
The MFS-12e is also ideal for deep-probe applications, such as geothermal exploration, where it unleashes its full potential for long-term data acquisition.
