SHFT-02e

Ultra-High Frequency Induction Coil

The SHFT-02e triple ultra-high frequency induction coil was developed for audio magnetotellurics (AMT), radio magnetotellurics (RMT), and controlled source magnetotellurics (CSMT) applications. It covers a frequency range from 1 kHz to over 300 kHz. The SHFT-02e features excellent low noise characteristics and a stable transfer function over temperature and time. The SHFT-02e is the result of over 30 years of Metronix experience in the design, manufacturing, and application of induction coil magnetometers.

A single SHFT-02e is sufficient to measure magnetic field variations in three orthogonal axes. The sensors and associated electronics are enclosed in an impact-resistant plastic housing. The SHFT-02e sensor connects to the Metronix ADU-10e/ADU-11e data logger (or any other custom electronics) via a cable up to 10 meters long. The high quality of the data acquired by the SHFT-02e is ensured by a uniquely designed, ultra-low-noise preamplifier.

Like all e-series sensors, the SHFT-02e features a built-in calibration chip and can be automatically detected by the ADU-10e/ADU-11e.

The SHFT-02e is also available as a 3-component sensor (unboxed version).
